– COCHACANCHA HOUSE –

01. INFO

For this house located in the Sacred Valley of the Inkas, on the same bank of the Vilcanota River, the studio proposed a rectangular volume perpendicular to the river, with sloping roofs for the rainy season and a terracing that adapts to the slight slope of the land.
The single-level volume opens up with views towards the internal and external forest of the land and towards the riverbank, prioritizing the privacy of its occupants.
The aim was to take advantage of local materials such as talamoya stones for the terrace, formwork with clay tones, local wood carpentry and abundant vegetation.
This project for a young family of 5 members who occupies it seasonally, is also used for events and rentals for groups by nights.
