Our proposal for public space was part of the government plan of the candidate for mayor of Miraflores:
The Popular Action candidate for the district of Miraflores, Sergio Meza Salazar, reported that one of his proposals to increase public spaces in the district of Miraflores is the creation of a park on the Vía Expresa.
"We believe that Miraflores is a model district of infrastructure and that it can be at the same level as other cities in South America. For this reason, the project consists of generating an eco-friendly public space on the Express Way that allows joining Paseo de la República, Alfredo Benavides and Parque Reducto No. 2 avenues," said the candidate.
This new space, called Gran Vía Park, will have open spaces, pergolas to provide shade, eco-friendly urban furniture such as LED lighting, bicycle parking, green areas, among others. In addition, this work will contribute to the revaluation of the properties on the expressway and will help consolidate the commercial zoning of the area.
"The Parque Gran Vía project will be financed with public and private funds, we believe that the park can be built in a period of 10 to 12 months and will serve as a model so that it can be replicated along the entire Vía Expresa," said the candidate.
The work, which will benefit thousands of passers-by, will be built in 100 meters on the Express Way and would cost around 30 million soles and will connect the Parque Reducto Parque Reducto No. 2 with the Benavides station of the Metropolitano.
