
The client required a new house that contrasted spatially with the one he lived in in La Punta, a neoclassical house from the beginning of the century.
Thus, the studio thought of designing a house with an orderly volumetry, simple lines and clear geometry; with generous lighting, and with a structure that allowed ample spaces and covered the extensive programming to accommodate a large family.
To optimize spatiality we use cantilevers, in volumes of rooms, suspended walls, stairs; and large structural lights in the social area to generate a great atmosphere that opens up to the back courtyard and the main entrance.
Likewise, the materiality was characterized by highlighting the shihuahuaco wood on floors and doors; talamoya stone on outdoor terraces, polished cement on internal walls and high-end porcelain tiles and façades in the kitchen and bathrooms.
